AI race is in fact happening between USA and China, all other countries are left far behind. AI data is critical to the war, unfortunately Australia is powerless in the competition and cannot avoid losng the valuable company Appen.
from political and economic view, Appen will unlikely be taken over by USA or China company, because Happen has business both in USA and china which is critical for its future. Maybe it will be taken over by a Japanese company like Altium. Australia is too weak to hold such a strategic important company.
