The shortman graph is only aggregate shorts up to 15 March. The Australia Manganese Update was 18 March.
The gross short sales activity up to 20 March as per asx data displayed at https://bizpep.com/shortsales/?code=S32 is flat ... it does not indicate recent excessive emotion, either positive or negative.
Neither do the share price movements ... just more of the same
