Combined, Retail own ~60% of the company.
What if we formed an ETF, say the 'SYA Retail Holders Fund' and sold all our shares into it?
Then we would be the majority shareholder. We could hold our own internal votes and then vote as a block. We could have more weight to throw around. Not just at the AGM, but on the market as well.
When the shorters try selling down shares the fund could hoover them up, removing them from the float and reducing the amount of shares available to cover open short positions. That way, we could keep plodding along accumulating ETF shares every paycheck, and the more we invest the more the fund can squeeze the shorts.
We could do the inverse of their tactics on them, but with more volume. We could be the bully.
And I would think that it wouldn't even be illegal because, as a fund, we'd be an Insto and therefore could do whatever we want! hahaha
