you really don't get it do you. apparently you simply hate the idea of "climate change".
if you understood what global warming is, and the effect of GW being climate change, you would understand that the first step is to reduce GHG emissions.
what the ABC article is about tho is the fact that despite plants gobbling up Co2, they won't grow as well as current because of the extreme weather events which destroy crops, destroy buildings, and make the climate too volatile for commercial production to keep pace with consumption.
but this is based on modelling and so its a possible outcome rather than a factual projection.
personally I disregard modelling as its prediction and climate change effects are truly unpredictable.
