i think what you're seeing is an oz ev echo chamber, created as ev sales have only just started to take off here.
meanwhile, the rest of world has had there ev honeymoon phase and are now entering the reality phase of mass adoption.
on another note, nsw fire reporting they attend 5 lithium related battery fires every week now. i wouldn't be surprised if it gets replaced over time.
