Russia is not mobilising soldiers at this point. Its citizens are signing up contracts to serve in the armed forces. A correct terminology is very important.

Thanks for bringing up those numbers. Majority of those 500k Russian soldiers you mentioned are still active and are securing a new border ( as it currently stands) between Russia and Ukraine.

The additional numbers will probably be used to start creating a sanitary zone as mentioned by Putin recently.

Unfortunately, Ukrainians are not volunteering nor they are signing up contracts to join the military and defend their land. I don’t blame them, because they know the battle is lost.
