All this talk of "why hasn't BTR gone up when XXX has tripled" reminds me how fickle, petulant and irrational the market is. And to be honest forums like Hot Copper don't help. My (unlisted) business is worth a multiple of it's profit.If it didn't make a profit it wouldn't be worth anything would it? A listed company should be worth a multiple of it's profit. If it doesn't make a profit because it hasn't started producing then the price is just speculation about whether it will one day make a profit, and how much. And speculation is just that; speculation. At the moment BTR is worth nothing because it produces nothing. The day it produces something it is worth something. Of course we've all lined up and put a price on it now because we don't want to miss out when it does start producing, but it's really just speculation. And because it's speculation it's not real, and because it's not real it's a waste of time worrying about it. BTR will one day REALLY be worth something (in my opinion)at which time it's true value will be revealed (as a multiple of the profit it makes) and it will be priced fairly. And provided you are patient and don't have to sell prematurely you will get exactly what you are entitled to. The fact the market has become a game where people buy and sell into the emotion of the market does not alter what a stock is REALLY worth in the long run. It just creates winners and losers along the way. How's that joke go? "If you're playing poker and you don't know who the sucker is then it's you".
I think BTR is undervalued, and I feel sorry for people who are forced to sell out early for financial reasons, but for the vast majority of us the fair stock price will be revealed eventually. You just have to be a little patient.
