why in the name of god are people here arguing about things like coral reefs or some spots in the world where SLR is less or more??
as if it's an argument that SLR isn't happening??????
it is - it's crystal clear and the why is pretty close to irrelevant
what is far more relevant is what happens when areas become inundated regularly enough to be an economic ----------- 'not worth rebuilding'
that's the risk - and that risk in the near future ------near being - we've no idea, but it will almost for sure be within the next 100 years
SLR is one part of a changing climate - it's real. If you think that some kind of argument point about 'oh, coral islands in some places are growing' - is going to stop climate change or prove that climate change doesn't exist or isn't massively damaging
