Appointment of Technical Manager The Directors are pleased to advise the appointment of a Technical Manager, Mr Robert (Bob) Adamson; B.Sc., M.Sc. (Hons Geol), MAusIMM, CP (Geo).
Mr Adamson has a wealth of industry experience and a specialised knowledge of the Pilbara region of Western Australia. Prior to commencing his mineral industry consultancy in 1993, Mr Adamson had spent over twenty five years (1966-1992) in technical and management positions with international mining houses (CRA, Newmont and BP Minerals), and in executive and board roles with stock exchange-listed exploration and mining companies (Cluff group). His Newmont career included drill indicating the initial 1million oz gold resource for the Telfer Gold Mine, W.A.
A consultant in economic geology since 1993, he has been retained by corporates, merchant banks and private investors to report on a wide variety of exploration and mining projects (principally gold, diamonds and base metals) throughout Australia and worldwide. In addition to independent commissions, he has also been engaged as a specialist associate consultant by Australian resource consulting firms. He has an extensive background in most aspects of exploration and mining for gold, base metals, uranium, diamonds and semi-precious stones, principally in Australia (all states), southern Africa, New Zealand, South Korea, Canada, China and the Philippines.
From 1987 to 1993, he was Managing Director of Cluff Resources Pacific Limited (Sydney) and Exploration Director (1989-1993) for Cluff Resources Zimbabwe Limited (listed on Zimbabwean Stock Exchange) during development of the Freda-Rebecca Gold Mine, then Zimbabwe's largest gold producer. He was the founding Managing Director of Klondike Source Limited (listed on NSX 2002) and since 2004 has been a non-executive director of Southern Cross Exploration NL (Sydney).
