I guess it's not exactly an attractive prospect to form Govt under those circumstances with hands tied behind back. .
According to what I have read their Hare-Clark system elects parties, independents and groupings as a proportion to their support in the division.
So if people in Tassie keep drifting away from the major parties reducing their primary vote then the major parties will have to deal with having their hands tied.
They'll have to negotiate government similar to what we see in European Parliaments or never form Government.
Unlike the Federal sphere where a major can still have a low primary vote and scrape in with a majority of seats.
Albeit we might see a minority Federal Government at the next election.
I saw one commentator comment that if Tassie ends up a schemozzle it might nudge voters away from supporting minors and independents at a Federal level.
I thought to myself that there would be voters who would be attracted to the idea of a hamstrung Parliament.
