I think the not-so-subtle inference in that graph is that the SL strategy to keep drilling at depth has delivered shareholder value far in excess of that achieved by the current batch of producers. Note, that he is really only comparing the time frame in which only deeper drilling has occurred at NN.
Clearly, it is the producers who should be benefitting more from the gold price spike so it is a significant turnaround to see an explorer up top of that list. The inference, of course, is that the strategy is working well.
I haven’t seen that type of comparison before so I suggest it is in response to those willing the company into production asap. I agree that it is gimmicky, self-gratifying, and the share prices have been selected to advantage. Still the company management deserve some applause for what has been achieved thus far, and also some respect for the course they have chosen.
