Who is the defender @thirdo, does your defender have absolute control over past, current and future actions that influence the end of the conflict with the invader.

You can pigeon hole this war as much as you like, but as someone with intelligence you know it is not simply black and white.

If the 2014 Coup which led to the overthrowing of the then stable Ukrainian Government did not occur then the invader would have had no cause to invade. If the then subsequent proxy Ukrainian Government had not begun to terrorise and murder innocent Russians in the Donbass then the invader would have had no cause to invade.

You sit on your ivory tower and cast a shadow like a god but in reality you are ignorant to reality. There are multiple aggressors in this conflict. If you could live in the pain of those affected in any conflict your perception and perspectives would quickly change.
