I think the person above was referring to how much it would cost A2M to take over Synlait.
Agree that it is a different question if it is just the debt that we are talking about. But full ownership of Synlait would cost any buyer far in excess of $200M.
Just Dairyworks and Temuka alone cost like $150M or so combined a few years ago. Then there's Pokeno, Dunsandel etc. It would hardly be a 'small dent' in A2M's cash pile, it'd be the majority of the cashpile.
Capital raising on the otherhand would require some further capital input from A2M and Bright, in order to maintain their stakes. So it may be that they contribute most of it as you say. The thing is, what do they get in return? Surely they can't be happy tipping more capital into the current status quo of Synlait's operations and performance.
