And rightfully so and as confirmed by Jesus when he was accused of blasphemy for making out to be God and he countered this with, you say I blaspheme BECAUSE I said I am the Son of God.
So, there is no way that Jesus accepted their false claim, that he was God, just as he clearly confirms, in John 17:3, where he independently of himself, defines the Father as the Only true God, when he was here.
