I am not fussed whether people choose to vote for or against it. My feeling is, I will wait and see what transpires between now and then. If ESG can demonstrate multi-party corporate interest, OR a huge reserve increase, then I will vote for it. But if not, then I won't.

But, ESG will have to give shareholders something substantial between now and then.

One observation about executive remuneration/pay/otions etc. - they usually pay themselves what they think they can get away with.

Now, ESG will be very aware that the share price at this year's AGM is similar to the share price at last year's AGM. And whilst there has been good progress in a number of areas - pilots, commercially, and on reserves - that is not going to excite people. And it certainly isn't going to encourage people to vote for the remuneration increases.

And judging by the number of thumbs for Hardmano's post, you can see that an increase to remuneration isn't going to go down well when the share price is flat!

Execs know that if shareholders are kicking big goals in terms of big share price gains, then increases are more likely to be agreed to.

So, the share price is flat, and ESG asks for extra remuneration. WHAT DOES THAT SUGGEST TO YOU? (apart from the obvious self-interest)

It suggests to me that there will be HUGE news between now and then. Because if ESG go to the AGM, asking for more money when they are already well-paid, and do so empty-handed of news, it could be an ugly AGM.

It is a month until the AGM. In between now and then, there is one of the most significant dates in the CSG industry - 22nd October - when essentially the whole sector gets a tick, based on certain conditions. And the floodgates to investments will open, based on the greater regulatory certainty.

SO, we wait and see what happens in the next few weeks, and before the AGM. And if ESG produces a third party buyer or cornerstone NLNG investor, or a massive reserve upgrade, and the share price responds accordingly, we won't be complaining.

    Yaq
