as I wrote above, the imprisonment of Gazans behind strongly guarded fences and gates, the restriction of food and water, energy and revenue has caused the rise of Hamas as the most funded (by Israel) and best equipped to govern Gaza.... beside that, there was little alternative.
pre- the incursion a Gazan pollster reported less than 20% support for Hamas. the war on Gaza, the imbecilic, primitive and brutal curtailment of food, water and energy to Gaza have virtually ensure massive support for Hamas.
