The article/video combination linked below look at M3P. There is some chatter about Telsa using this CATL chemistry for vehicles and possibly its yet to be released lower price point Model 2 that is aiming for massive sales. The Electric Viking also had an a video on M3P being used by Telsa.
While there's still speculation around it, the video embedded in the article postulates that M3P is LMFP with some other elements like Mg, Al and Zn to counteract some negative impacts of adding Manganese while still retaining the positive benefits. The articles suggestion is that M3P >40% Manganese.
Any shift from LFP to LMFP or M3P would be fantastic for companies like E25 as it goes from zero high purity manganese to using lots
Any shift from NMC811 to LMFP or M3P would also be very good as there's a lot more manganese per battery pack
If Telsa's model 2 has the price point that some suggest (aka Toyota corolla type pricing) there could be many millions of EV's made each year using M3P.
