She had an opportunity to tell the truth about Mr Abbott's travel arrangements and she told it. His arrangements really are a matter for him. It's not the role of a PM to put out political bushfires for an obstructionist opponent. The only reason the whole matter became an issue was Abbott's inability to think on his feet and come up with something better than that a visit to Afghanistan might make him too tired to attend the British Conservative party conference.
