Below is the position of the general cargo ship TIBERBORG.

The picture shows the remaining journey (after travelling all the way from Quebec and through the Panama Canal) that it still has before it gets to Jinzhou, China.

I have put up this picture as an illustration of just how far, SYQ has to send spod from NAL to be refined.

This has to be one of the world’s longest supply routes.

As far as I am aware, SYQ will continue to send spod to China for the foreseeable future.

To me it seems amazing that shipments have been able to continue through this period of very low prices.

In the last week or so, we are seeing signs that the price of spod is improving.

We have also seen that some of the world’s biggest suppliers of lithium have taken action to make pricing more visible.

In the coming weeks, I expect the action they are taking will be felt in the market and prices will improve.

When that happens, the continued sending of spod from NAL to China will have been worthwhile.

Just to clarify, my assumption that the TIBERBORG is carrying NAL spod is an educated guess but regardless, it is the route that most of our loads have to travel.
