The Russian Armed Forces began using the latest high-precision ammunition UMPB D-30SN.

• This is a universal interspecific [multipurpose] glide munition that can be launched from both aircraft and jet systems.
• UMPB D-30SN is a product that is close to the Western ammunition GBU-39 SDB. This is a guided bomb with a special jet booster that can be installed on [used with] HIMARS [rocket artillery]
• Each such ammunition consists of a unified module with folding wings, a tail unit and a Kometa-M noise[jamming]-resistant receiver. When the UMPB D-30SN is used [launched] from the ground, an “adapter” is installed on it to [fit] a standard missile accelerator [launcher].
• The Russian bomb is superior to the American one in terms of range and payload. Thus, the American ammunition has less than 100 kg of explosives, and the warhead of the Russian one is the same as on the FAB-250 aerial bomb.

The fact that the Russian Aerospace Forces aviation began to use the UMPB D-30SN is a historical event. The Russian defense industry quickly created a new high-precision munition, which significantly increases and reduces the cost of destroying ground targets of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
