I was listening to a UK based finance podcast the other day and they were talking to a fund manager from Crux Asset management who was very confident that cheaper Chinese EVs will soon dominate the West. At the moment the focus is the domestic market for many of those manufacturers but that will soon turn outward.

Imo i feel like it's going to be a case of roles reversed.
The Chinese were well behind the curve compared to the West when it came to ICE vehicles and only in recent years have they got to a point where I would even consider buying (safety still not 100% sure). But the quality is better.

I just feel like the West could be left with their pants down if they don't watch their backs.The established brands need to get their costs down and offer customers a point of difference against their Chinese counterparts.
