    So you think that there shouldn't be a set period of time for public review or time for the dept to review an application?
    What if your neighbour decided to build an extra storey on their house and it blocked all your light. Would you like it if there wasn't a review period?
    Whilst I think most bureaucratic departments are in efficient, I think that their published review process is as good as it gets. Delays are mostly by applicants not answering tough questions properly or in a timely manner.
