The writer of the iron ore doomsday article omitted the following pertinent facts . . .

China has imported in excess of 1 billion tonnes of iron ore every year for the past 8 years.

China has imported in excess of 1.1 billion tonnes of iron ore every year for the past 4 years.

China's imports of iron ore for 2023 were an all time record at 1.18 billion tonnes.

China's imports of iron ore for the first 2 months of 2024 have exceeded that of the same period in 2023

China's demand for iron ore is consistently strong and growing . . . despite all the media scare monguering about Chiness real estate, stimulus etc
