The first patent is talking about ammunition which is basically a cartridge that is electronically fired and has two projectiles in each cartridge, each with it's own propellant charge, these can be fired individually(normal velocity) or in mach 5/50 terms (which is extremely high velocity) they could be used in things like

1/ A machine pistol (9mm)similar to the owen gun perhaps
The Belt Fed Machine Gun BFMG (50cal or half inch, or possibly 20mm)

2/ The 40mm stuff we already are familiar with, but instead of being stacked in the barrel, these would be two projectiles (possibly grenades?) in the one cartridge, and could be fired from something like the existing belt fed grenade launcher, but they would be electronically fired,

3/ And the 60mm firing is cannon type stuff (this is where BOFORS comes in I believe?),it is similar to what the DSTO has been working on for years now, they have successfully fired two 60mm rounds in very high succession causing the mach 5/50 effect, or better than 1600 meters per second on a repeatable basis, this round has a very similar kinetic impact as what a 240mm round that is fired conventionally in today's guns mounted on Tanks etc, this new 60mm weapon will be the poor mans Rail gun, it will be lighter, cheaper, not quite as fast, but far more maneuverable than a Rail Gun system.
