Announcements can be expected anytime from now until the open label trial concludes in July of this year. My only reservations for the open label trials lie in the fact that these patients are long-term sufferers. Im not saying it won't be successful, Im just merely pointing out these Patients have had an iron build up of many many years and if the iron has crystallized, is it possible for ATH434 to be able to redistribute it in such a small amount of time. It may mean more time is needed to break down the iron. The obvious difference with the "double blind placebo study" is that those patients are all relatively new sufferers, so the chance of immediate success is greater. Again, im only speculating here, and im certainly not a neurologist to be able to give you a definitive answer. Hopefully, we will see some astounding results with the open label study, which almost certainly then guarantees us success!
It's going to be an interesting few weeks coming up, that's for sure.
