@w_i_z_z_a By the way I think you missed the point regarding the use. You don't need a new picc and consumables. Hemodialysis was example as skin born bacteria is introduced to the blood via the placement. The use of the antibiotic in this case would be to clean the skin area prior to emplacement and reduce eliminate infection rates and associated complications. Not a dramatic expense on an individual basis.
