Toyota have registered a new patent for ICE (modified exhaust and engine) that generates zero emissions.
this came on top of a report that Toyota don't believe that 100% electric vehicle adoption is realistic and will continue to produce ICE cars and explore hydrogen options.
I need a new car and looked at electric but ultimately rejected it. the depreciation is a concern and insurance is horrific.
when an electric vehicle fire occurs it is horrific. a number of UK busses started catching fire at random and had to be removed from service.
still electric vehicles will gain market penetration. if l was offered a company car that was electric l would be fine.
still my next car will be petrol. there is a market for both. we need to evaluate the situation for a clearer picture in 12-13 years. best hold both sectors then you will be ok regardless
