Objections to a cashless society seem to come primary from three groups of people, namely from: a) the group composed by those fearing and with good reason to be disadvantaged, a group mainly made up by the elderly, those living in remote areas, and those taking part in the shadow economy; b).the group of those ideologically opposed on the grounds that it can become a tool for further social control, and c) the group of people for whom bashing the government and the institutions upon which modern economic and social order is based became an irresistible and fashionable way of showing their foolishness and ignorance.
I fear that the vast majority of posters in this thread and similar ones belong to this last group.
