Interesting/good point re efficiency of ATH434 and crystallisation - just a note that iron does not crystallise but haemoglobin does, which contains iron *binding*/*attached* to the structure as well as heme group (contains iron) and even then this indirect affect on binding of iron may not affect actioin of ATH434. I'm no expert in this field, so I equally take your point.
