Commercial. private owned batteries are only uber profitable right now due to excessive wind and solar creating negative market prices allowing them to refill AND be paid for it, then discharge during low supply periods AND be paid for it.

Under this utopia where in a trillion $$ time the transmission network allows sufficient renewables to wipe 1,000,000's of hectares away, how will batteries make profit, or renewables like wind when they have to shut half them down at any one time due to oversupply or be charged to feed the grid?

The only reason renewables are anywhere near profitable without them being reuired to pay for their own transmission infrastructure, it due to baseload coal stations still existing and being unable to shut down. When they cant shut down and wind is in excess, batteries win!! When they cant supply the entire load due to being forced out of the market from daytime, duck curve losses where vertical intergration hasnt saved them, then batteries win.

The fact that to get 10MW of wind supply, a 40MW field has to be installed, due purely to CF, then when BoBo claims hes installed 10GW of renewables, he's only really installed 2.5GW. When BoBo says a battery will SUPPLY he's lying, because a battery cannot supply squat, but it can STORE electrons....
