Very wise. In any investing matter, best to record items of concern, contemporaneously, if possible, place on file, and notify your taxation accountant, or financial adviser, for future reference if required. More important these days, with all income including dividends notified digitally direct to the ATO using your TFN, and the aggregate of such income is used to fill your tax return in whatever form.
