The ABC (LINK). asked 3 former experienced military personnel if they could believe the IDF explanation "It was an Accident".....
their responses vary but each leaves doubt that the accident explanation is credible.
- Retired Lieutenant Charles Faint, chair for the Study of Special Operations at the The Modern War Institute at West Point. Dr Faint has 27 years' experience in the infantry and military Intelligence branches of the US Army, including time in special operations
- Nick Waters, an ex-British Army officer, and justice and accountability lead with the open-source intelligence group Bellingcat
- Raphael Cohen, director of strategy at US think tank Rand Corporation's Project Air Force
now whats the outcome if its proven that the IDF deliberately killed 3 UK, 1 Aus, 1 Pole and 1 US/Canadian and 1 local Gazan driver. how would we expect the international community to act after such an appalling action.
blaming the victims is not an option as they were driving along a route marked "as an "accessible road for humanitarian aid" by the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) in late March." and had been "deconflicted" according to the IDF.
Biden has said the investigation must be "very swift" and personnel must be held "accountable". his response is in accord with Albanese and many other nations. wanting to see the evidence of the action before making allegations.
so what can we expect from this? what consequences for Israel IF its proven to be deliberate targeting as the above experts suggest may be the case. their own words are well worth reading: they are cautious and seem knowledgeable and professional.
