Australia had already designated Hamas as a terrorist organisation in 2022.

The murder of Carbone in 2023 doesn't really change that. The US, UK, Canada, Australia, EU and others all have designated Hamas terrorists.

What did you want Albanese to do after Carbone was murdered? Designate Hamas to be SUPER-DUPER-terrorists?

However, when democratic governments that follow rule of law and that we are notionally allies with kill our citizens, we hold them to higher standards than people we have designated to be terrorists.
