Doing some numbers ..POD parks reef is a MASSIVE PGM5 resource and if its ever going be economically mined it's going to have to be a large operation IMHO ..why its lower grade Vs what we see in many of the world's PGM areas..
https://auctusmetals.com/platinum-analysis-ore-grades-s-african-pgm-mines-geological-structure-part-ii-by-dr-david-davis/
Just down to 250m POD has 184Mt of 1.3g/t PGM5 + base metal credits
If we have a processing plant of size 5Mtpa that's still 30yrs+ LOM... 80% recoveries
would see around 160Koz PGM5 pa + base metal credit ..if it was a open-pit
now at present PGM5 basket price it's not going be attractive ...but we see Pt $2koz+ Pd 2koz+ Rh Ir much higher next minute we have average PGM5 price A$3-4koz ..then I'm sure its going to become much more attractive to a Large PGM refinery , miner to want to JVP and bring the major CAPEX Bill+
As if you used basic number 160koz x 3k = A$480mill pa gross ..now not sure about reductions from refinery margins + shipping etc but surely Base metal credits would help with costs ... when you start putting LOM for the first stage to 250m towards 25-30yrs and to 500m add another 25yrs+ and deeper potential
Just maybe we could attract a Sibanye that has the refiners and PGM experience + capital .. has invested in Aussie with the Tassie Tin mine https://www.sibanyestillwater.com/business/australia/
