Nobody blinks twice when a Toyota clicks over those miles.
It will be interesting to see how EV motors fare over a longer period. I have read that electric motors are intrinsically more simple and have a longer life than internal combustion engines.
The battery issue has to be acknowledged, they will deteriorate and need replacing. But when you do replace it, the EV motor might still be pretty sprightly, maybe even as good as new, with a battery which IS new.
Added to that, batteries will improve... maybe incrementally, or maybe there will be a generational change and they'll rapidly double in efficiency and/or economy and/or longevity. Even with the crappier batteries of the past, there are lots of use cases were EVs are already an excellent choice.
