Aboriginal law is not only about getting spread. I don't know much and it tends to vary from clan level in subtle ways from my reading. I have to break Aboriginal law to sit in a circle discussing it. not our business. yet spearing is a visceral deterrent that is effective.

some cities have trialed such law, some continue after finding it effective. but I haven't kept up for a while.

mix this with education and gear it to their language, the ensure they are enthusiastic to learn and get them really listening to elders. take em back to basics and rebuild from there.

no easy answers though, as you can prob see I'm really only guessing. but there has to be a removal from grog and other drugs and town in a safe tribal location too.

yes the Voice would have helped in prevention as the locals voices would be heard in the capital.

politicians need rebuilding with good guidance too.
