There is a new prediction of a 20 year drought.
Could happen but the warm/wet is against it.
As an amateur offshore fisherman used to chase hot water in the ocean.
You can actually see it go almost purple.
Close to shore it's green then change, as you watch the sea thermometer on the dashboard of my ocean cruiser.
We on the east of continental Australia have had a wetter and warmer summer.
I suspect the two go together.
Warm oceans, Pacific and Indian more evaporation
higher moisture in atmosphere = more precipitation.
This year has been unusual with the wet enhanced by many tropical lows and acouple of TCs.
Haven't seen Greta for a while.
