I agree though one of my nieces is a plumber (qualified) after being a dairy hand. She’s tiny and very pretty. But she can hold her own - what she lacks in strength she makes up for by being able to fit into spaces most men can’t. Clients love her and men know how to use her skills as she does theirs. It works!

i recall having a bloke offer to help me move rocks around the garden and we weren’t just telling little rocks. I decided to do it myself. Puny thing he was. So it really is horses for courses. But. Yes in general more men are ok with physical jobs. Women aren’t too bad with those requiring dexterity however and fewer jobs need brute strength nowadays.

some beliefs around females in jobs come from tradition- for example it was believed that women brought bad luck to an underground mine so there was huge resistance to them being there.
