I'm not trying to be negative at all. I'm trying to initiate a discussion as to why/when people think SYR will be competitive in the market place. Its obvious that the world needs an ex-china market but what would that look like? Would you pay a higher price for a car just because it has ex-china graphite?? Would you pay $10,000 more if you only get a $7,500 rebate in the US?? Have you ever bought a car and asked where all the material comes from?? Will you buy an EV and ask where the battery components have come from?? Is US AAM going to be competitive with Indo etc. Its clear that China has smashed the graphite market with a cheaper product and a synthetic version. At the end of the day, people aren't going to pay a significantly higher price for an equivalent product.

As far as I see it...and its a pretty simple view...SYR has a natural graphite advantage. Their US AAM plant will be insignificant compared to the AAM factories being build outside China and the US. The big question is, are anode producers going to use natural graphite and to what extent?? Only time will tell.
