Edna May will soon go on C&M and Mt Magnet has 2-3 good years before production falls of a cliff back to 100k p.a.

Karora board implicitly see better value in WGX script and WGX has proven it can run U/G mines, and Beta Hunt is a damn big one.

As for the low hanging fruit WGX can look at round the Murchison, the small caps are not going anywhere.
Once the merger is done, Big Bell deeps on track, Great Fingal on track, then... I can see the logic of going after smaller deals.
I think Karora has potential (once you start looking at their assets around their two plants).

I am not ignore the irony of WGX getting back an old asset, but... to be fair to WB, he would likely never have sold them in the first place, Cookie (past MD) ran WGX like riding a bucking bronco, haphazardly and basically sold off assets to pay the bills.

@plough - I think WGX being in house operators is likely the biggest driver of this. As above, Beta Hunt is a massive mine and if run well, should seriously hum... I mean, RMS clearly have been trying to acquire it for possibly 18+ months!

It will be so interesting to see who comes out ahead in the next few years... SLR/RED or WGX/Karora or GMD.

RMS is running out of options... if it was to keep up with it's peers.
