    Given the rising population growth, we are going to need one major calamity to bring balance back to the earth.

    If it ever comes to a point the worlds finite resources need to be rationed, then those resources will need to be nationalised or internationalised.

    Its not about a government being more efficient (which they arent). Its more about the fact that private individuals/corporations make decisions based entirely on their own individual needs & benefit. Whereas Governments are supposed to make decisions based on the public good (ie for everybody).

    They rationed things during WWII. You cant trust rationing to a private individual. It has to be done by a central authority (obviously a non-corrupt one).

    I like what the Greens here & overseas have to say, but they have to be upfront about the pain & sacrifice we all have to make. We basically need to re-adjust our living standards downwards, to ensure future generations dont get shafted.
