Hello Wilson you are a good chap - nicely put oh wise and balanced one. I note that they announced the 'sell' very quickly and gave reasons because they obviously wish to limit any damage in sentiment.
I have not read their corporate policy on selling or buying too close to an announcement but I gather he had to wait at least 24 hours after before he could sell. I agree he has the right to cash up, clear the debt and I am pleased that he will not be stressed with that $3M or so on hand.
I believe Mr Wood knows he just lost at least 80c ($12M approx) a share over the medium term even if this requires an appropriate risk weighting in his thinking. I don't know what else they are aiming at in terms of project pipeline as yet however it is clear there is a great deal of potential here. He may be factoring in a lot more who knows - maybe less.
I suspect that will end up one very expensive debt payment and tax bill when the potential of AVB is realized. They are now on the pathway to achieve this which is why all the excitement from professional ZZZZZZZ investors who don't really care about a few cents here and there over the longer term.
I am still building a position so there is no advantage in stating this - I should be talking 10c a share or whatever if I thought it would have any influence.
DYOR guys - talk to some professionals in the industry about what you are actually looking at here so you understand it. Oils ain't just oils Sol - sorry showing my age here.
