I cant see a problem with it.
Remember, the company men have living expenses too. The opportunity to fund these expenses from company stock must coincide with defined buying and selling periods.
What I would prefer to derive from this, is that ESG is in a 'fair game' period. Do what you need to do now, because at some point in time in the near future - you may not be able to.
