on the appalling living conditions in remote communities, I think it worth mentioning that these people had never had to deal with rubbish until a hundred years ago.

Are you suggesting they had better living conditions prior to the white fella coming on the scene?

Not all remote communities have appalling living condition - many take some pride in their communities. It's their community leadership that is responsible for many outcomes and you will probably find that the dry communities are very different from the wetr ones.

Ergo, alchohol is not in the best interest of having a harmonious and properous aboriginal community but rather destroys it from within. It's not rocket science - it's just weak political leadership
