(“Arafura” or the “Company” is pleased to announce the appointment of several key executive leadership positions as momentum builds towards delivering the Nolans Project.

Dr Stuart Macnaughton commenced as Chief Operating Officer on 8 April 2024. Stuart’s appointment is a significant milestone for the Company and underpins the next phase of growth. Stuart brings advanced expertise in project delivery, including ramp-up of complex hydrometallurgical facilities. With 25 years of experience he has successfully overseen the design, build and integration of processing plants for Vale and BHP, including leading global teams in Australia, Africa and the UK.
Stuart has a B.Eng Chemical Engineering and a PhD Chemical Engineering from the University of NSW.

Shaan Beccarelli commenced as Head of Corporate Affairs and Investor Relations in March.

Shaan has more than 20 years of experience in the resources sector, including at Woodside, Chevron and Rio Tinto. She will deliver strategic growth across all stakeholder engagement, external relations, brand and reputation. Shaan has an MBA from Curtin Business School.

Tanya Perry was promoted to Head of Sustainability and Environment in February.
With more than 20 years of experience in environment and sustainability management across a diverse range of industries, including mining and oil and gas, Tanya will deliver Arafura’s ESG strategy. Tanya holds a Bachelor of Environmental Science (Hons).

His expertise in leading diverse teams to deliver complex integrated processing plants is critical to the success of Nolans. “It has been a pleasure welcoming both Shaan and Tanya to my executive leadership team. They have brought a stepchange in how Arafura executes its corporate affairs, investor relations, environmental management and ESG strategies. “These appointments signify that Arafura is on the pathway to successfully delivering the Nolans Project and ensuring our stakeholders and communities are highly engaged with us.
