Dubber needs to make a strategic change in how it delivers services to telcos, in my view.

It was always an uphill sell convincing telcos to allow a small, external supplier to record and store sensitive customer call data under the telco brand. Telcos had no control over privacy management, relying entirely upon Dubber who's reputation has never been great and is now in the toilet, and flushed.

From the beginning, Dubber should have provided a managed service option, allowing telcos to host Dubber services within their own networks, instead of the purely online service offered by Dubber.

A managed service option would have eliminated Dubber's platform costs, which were always out of control, and also solved the privacy and reliability concerns with Dubber storing telco customer data.

Hopefully Dubber will re-shape Dubber's service offering, or sell the platform to a big tech player who could cash in on Dubber's existing telco product integration (which is a lot more than technical connection).

Otherwise, I can't imagine telcos remaining with Dubber - they will flee this hot mess.

But transformation would need a highly capable CEO, and Dubber presently has an acting CEO and a Deputy CEO, which isn't a highly capable CEO.

I think Dubber's #1 problem is the absence of leadership at a time when leadership is crucial.
