There is a significant group of Republican voters that are Never Trumpers, so I am not as worried as you, and he could well be convicted of something by then, even if he is trying everything to stall the court cases.
Plus Biden is not as " sleepy" as Trump has been intimating and Trump has his own cognitive issues to deal with, which is actually quite funny, since he has been attacking Biden since he became president.
