The Centrewill open at 10 am on Friday 19 April. The opening will receive substantial media coverage.

This Centre signifies the importance of cancer prevention, detection, and treatment.

This Centre has significant future relevance to Optiscan’s technology.

In the future, the digital biopsy will be a core component of such a facility.

The question arises, does Paula Fox and Andrew Forrest appreciate the significance of Optiscan’s technology?

This project was supported by government, the Fox Family,Minderoo Foundation [Andrew Forrest], and the MonashUniversity. The 5-storey cancer centre will have capacity to carefor approximately 300 patients a day and will also have research laboratories. The centre will expand the capacity ofexisting Clinical Trial activity at Alfred Health and the laboratories willincrease collaboration between research staff and clinicians from The Alfredand Monash University.

Optiscan’s confocal laser endomicroscope delivers a crisp image ofligament and tendon fibre structure simultaneous with fluorescence imaging in arobust and easy to use package. Optiscan’s CLE is a powerful tool for tissueresearch and medical diagnosis.

And Dr Tami Yap Oral Medicine Specialist, Melbourne Dental School, Australia has stated that:

Within the next 10 years, the use of digital microscopy will bequite commonplace across many medical specialties.
