That's right 24 years he waspleading to NATO not to continue the encirclement of Russia and admit Ukraine andGeorgia into NATO. If Putin was bent on conquest he wouldn't have enteredinto 2 Minsk agreements which if the West had honoured there would not be a warin Ukraine today (Indeed Merkel and Holland both admitted they only enteredthose agreements to buy NATO time to get Ukraine ready for the fight they knewthey were provoking). Putin knew there was a risk that NATO and Ukraine wouldnot honour the agreements but he took the chance hoping against hope that theywould and war could be averted. Does it sound like someone who is bent onconquest? Of course not! That's just the propaganda lie the USA/NATO areputting out there because they cant stand losing the Ukraine war to Russia andthey're scared their people have had enough. So whats the strategy the USA/NATOhas always used to keep their people supporting the forever wars. About 3 weeksbefore the Ukraine invasion Putin wrote a long letter repeating Russia'ssecurity concerns and requesting the USA/NATO to go back to the Minks agreementand agree not to admit Ukraine into NATO. And about a week before the invasionhe wrote again and Blinken's reply is legendary. "There is no change andthere will be no change".

They thought after they conducted the coup in Ukraine they wouldfinally get Russia out of Crimea, ,take the Russian Port of Sevastopol and turnthe Black Sea into a NATO lake.
