Exactly. The lack of detail around CAPEX and OPEX projections is ridiculous. Those initial CAPEX figures were based on estimates from Cauchari-Olaroz and Maricunga, as noted below from the 2018 PEA. People also seem to forget that they applied a very broad margin of error of plus/minus of 50% for CAPEX and 35% for OPEX estimates.
It's somewhat unbelievable that the company would now mention that a 24 ktpa expansion does not materially change the project economics, when the company is yet to provide a detailed (or even updated) outline of the project economics. I can only assume that the ASX were similarly surprised by these comments, and IMO this is what has likely prompted today's revision.
It seems like amateur hour again, and IMO it's more than a little embarrassing for a company that is meant to be on the cusp of being a serious lithium producer.
